I am trying to install Karaoke7 but not able to. Every time I double click on the .exe, system shows busy for a few second and then nothing happens. I am using Windows 7 home edition. Are there settings that I need to turn off before installing?

Thanks,

Cuong

Sorry Admin. I remove config.ini, no luck. I even tried un-install Karaoke4VIP program. Still not working. Must be some sort of setup in my computer. Pls advise.

Thanks,

Cuong

did you install visual c++ 2012 ? there is a link in download page

Still not working. I uninstall existing program and deleted the karaoke4vip folder. I re-install all the programs mentioned in the download page (framework4.5, Visual C++, and K Lite Codec). When I try to install Karaoke7, few seconds later, the program opens up. The screen has AAAOO going across and does not go away. Once I loaded the music folder, I can select songs but there is only video, no sound. I can add songs to the reserve list. However, clicking on the reserve list kills the program with the "program stop responding". Unlike installation of previous version, there is no short cut on the desk top. Once I go in to the control panel and list out all the installed program, karaoke is not listed.

Congratulation Cuong, you made it work.

the A A A 00 is for display current music note and mic note(if you hook up a mic directly to soundcard in put or usb mic preamp) you can press key 'c' to close it.

this version is more advanced than previous version, you need to right-click and select audio playback driver( ASIO/WASAPI/DIRECTSOUND) and Playback device, and recording / microphone device if you want to use program internal mixer ( this mixer I use soft clipping curve sound more pleasant to the ear than standard one).

OK. Clear. Still a couple of issues though.

There is no short cut showing up on the desktop. Do I double click on Karaoke7.exe file that I downloaded every time to get the program started?

When I have a few songs reserved, clicking on any of them tends to crash the program with a message "program stop responding". Are there any settings that I need to do?

You dont need to install it Cuong, just copy the download file and put on desktop, no shortcut needed.

this feature( Click on reserve song on screen) for a long time I did not test seem to be a bug, I will fix it in next update, but too busy these days, may be next week or 2 I have the update version.

Thanks Admin. Program is working more reliable now. However, sound doesn't come out right. Seems to have high treble and static. Playing the song outside of the program (ie. via Window Media) works fine. How do I fix this?

Try setting playback device at 48khz. Or Try exclusive mode. Or check volume level on program. Sometime soft audio song get boost too much can cause distorted. It should sound lot better than wmp

Sampling rate is set to 48Khz. Anytime ti set exclusive, program won't start. I have to change the value in config file back to Shared for program to start.

When I used previous version many months ago, I don't have this problem.

did you set the speaker output at 48khz ? you can try directsound driver ( same as wmp is playing) or for better quality use asio4all, or you can use exclusive and set the latency about 10ms, 40ms, you soundcard may not support default latency 20ms or not support 48khz.

Sorry Admin. Nothing is working.

Speaker/soundcard is set to 16 bit 48Khz.

Only setting that has sound is WASAPI with 16/48K/Shared.

No sound with DirectSound.

I downloaded asio4all. Program does not start once I select this option.

I don't have this problem in previous version (prior to Karaoke7). Pls provide a setting that is compatible to wmp or similar to default settings in previous version. All these new options that provide more flexibility is making the program not user friendly at all unless they start out with default setting that work first.

Thanks,

I love this program but everytime I mess with a configuration a little bit to make one song format to work, it breaks something else... for example, I was trying to tweak to make some of my VOBs work but then mp4 doesn't have any sound anymore... and for a love of my life, I can't get it to work the way it was before!! I just don't know where to start... and how each codec got triggered.

I wanted to suggest a lot of my friends to use this software because they all love what I have but I couldn't help them and they're not computer savvy like me and even I got problems on every single setup...

I'm about to upgrade my windows 7 to windows 8 on the box that I mainly use for karaoke4Pro... we'll see if I run into troubles again, I'm sure I would :)

if mp4 does not have sound seem like you disable mediafoundation in codecs tweaking utility. by default it should work with default k-lite install on all media. just need to set resample 48khz in ffdshow or ac3filter.

there is a tool to conver all vob,mkv.... to mp4 in download section. just convert all file to mp4 so you can play it on iphone/ android phone/ ipad / macbook

okay, so I just finished installation. Got everything from the download page, and get Karaoke7 to run... I loaded up a song and video plays but no sound. I check Setting/Audio Decoder and see nothing... where's my ffdshow? how to enable it? I checked my KLite codec installation and see the codec Tweak tool but I can't find the configurators for the audio and video... how do you find that? now that I have windows 8, there was no KLite under All programs... and I have no shortcut to the configurators... any idea?

After a while, it doesn't even play the video... when loading up, it says everything okay, ready to use.. but hit play, it says Playing "song title", then nothing...

Help! :)

PS: I played the song with Windows Media Player and it plays fine... Haali splitter works also! I also see LAV video decoder when it attempts to play the song... but no picture
